WE’RE A SIGNATORY TO CORTM, THE GOLD STANDARD BY WHICH CONSTRUCTION SAFETY IS ESTABLISHED.
One of BD Power Services’ most important certifications is its participation in the Certificate of Recognition program (CORTM).
CORTM is a construction industry occupational health and safety accreditation program that verifies a fully implemented safety and health program which meets national standards. The objectives of CORTM are to provide industry employers with an effective safety and health management system to reduce incidents, accidents and injuries as well as their associated human and financial costs. CORTM is now frequently used as a pre-qualifying condition and/or condition of contract by public and private project owners across Canada.
BD Power Services takes promoting a culture of safety very seriously. Since the company’s first tradespeople were hired in 2017 there has never been a lost time injury—strong safety performance has been one of BD Power Services’ hallmark achievements.
Monthly score cards are used to measure different safety and human performance criteria, including the quality of our work. Each time there is an event, it triggers our clock to reset. As of January 20, 2023, the company has gone 700 days without an event.
